About the Role:

 

 

 

Reporting to the Operations Director the IT Support Engineer is based out of our North Sydney head office however the engineer also has the opportunity to go to many different client sites.

 

 

 

Their primary responsibility is to manage client systems, and participate in projects delivering a wide variety of leading enterprise grade technologies.

 

 

 

The position works within a team to support broad and varied systems from leading vendors to provide Systems and Infrastructure , maintaining a strong service delivery culture, and acting as a communication conduit between the client and NetStrategy.

  • Ability to adjust priorities and tasks based on customer needs and management direction.
  • Manage time effectively, meet deadlines and achieve established goals and objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of technologies and seeks out personal training to develop skills.

 

 

 

The key tasks and responsibilities include:

 

 

 

Core systems that you include:

 

 

 

  • Minimum of 2 years + experience as helpdesk/Level 1 Engineer with experience in the following:

 

                 - Server and workstation preventative maintenance 

 

                 - Management of existing Standard Operating Environment "SOE" for desktops and laptops 

 

                 - Switching; Cisco/Extreme/HP

 

                 - Storage; HP/DELL 

 

                 - Backup solutions: Backup Exec/CommVault/VEEAM/Barracuda

 

                 - Software and Application Management; System Center Configuration Manager/Zenworks/NetApps

 

                 - Remote management tools; Kaseya/Labtech
 

 

  • Ability to manage tickets efficiently using the following platforms; Webhelpdesk/ConnectWise
  • Vendor certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), VMware (VCP), Cisco (CCNA) and COMPTIA
