About the Role


The Business Development Executive is responsible for prospecting with senior leaders in educational and not for profit institutions, and closing contracts for IT services. To succeed, you will prospect and schedule weekly qualified discovery meetings. You will effectively present technology solutions addressing the prospects pain points and close new business. This is a pure “hunter” role and prior demonstrable experience as a “hunter” is required. 


The Business Development Executive duties will include a combination of the following:


  • Enthusiastically represent our company to potential clients;
  • Drive new business leads with prospects that aligns with our business plan and meets our demographic criteria;
  • Generate discovery meetings with executive, managers (decision makers) of educational/NFP institutions using a mix of telephone prospecting, email prospecting, strategic outreach, digital prospecting, referral generation and business association based prospecting;
  • Help present quotes, proposals and persuasively present them to senior leadership;
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our service offerings and how they relate to clients’ business needs to improve their efficiency and solve their “pain points”;
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Conduct in person (preferably) and remote meetings (as appropriate) and travel to client locations
  • Utilize in-house CRM system logging opportunities and activities as they occur;
  • Maintain sales pipeline for sales forecasting.
  • Work closely with the NetStrategy leadership team to achieve sales growth objectives

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and related experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree highly desirable;
  • 6-8+ years of solid performance in outside sales with a proven track record in business-to-business sales preferred;
  • Proven track record in securing appointments with organizational leaders in the education and NFP industries
  • Experience in solutions sales such as business to business technology, commercial insurance, payroll, software, consulting and recruiting beneficial;
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic and enthusiastic personality;
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated and goal oriented;
  • Ability to thoroughly describe the proposed solution in alignment to the prospect’s business needs;
  • Demonstrated ability to close new business;
  • Comfortable presenting to client senior leadership and board members;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and take initiative;
  • Tenacious work ethic with the ability to work independently;
  • Excels in working in cross functional team environment and relates well to IT service delivery colleagues (systems engineers);
  • Desire to become part of a fun and energetic team with a winning attitude and culture;
  • Ability to travel when necessary, although much of this position can be done remotely with video presentations;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience or familiarity with ConnectWise and Connectwise Sell would be an advantage.

Salary and Benefits:


Our competitive Compensation plans are structured as Base plus unlimited Commission potential. Salaries are paid bi weekly and commissions are paid monthly.
